EARLY PROTOTYPES
2024, sea glass handblown by The glass apprentice. Showcased at TMDC Barcelona Elisava grad show
The Early Prototypes are the first objects ever produced using this material. The collection of tableware objects draws inspiration from the aesthetic and material qualities of ancient Roman glassware, reinterpreting historical glassmaking traditions through a contemporary regenerative material narrative.
These prototypes were developed through experimental research and laboratory observation in collaboration with Institut de Ciències del Mar, in Barcelona.
The prototypes were handblown by glassblower Pròsper Riba Vilardell (@theglassapprentice).
